You DO Need Jesus.
To the one who might be lost and asking if they’re condemned to hell for not believing specifically in Jesus Christ for their salvation:
I believe that the most direct path to understand the issue is that you are thinking about it the wrong way. Which is to think of this as an issue and not the solution, allow me to breakdown what I mean by this:
1. How Do I get into Heaven?
Heaven= Be innocent of any immoral acts
2. Conviction
Realize that although the idea would be that if man could live to the standard of God, there would be no need for an atoning sacrifice, but this is already a dilemma because humans are fallen, sinful, and blatantly incapable of being wholly innocent before God since the very beginning of their existence, including me, you, and any human you might look at despite how good they may look at times; One crime is what makes a man guilty regardless of severity. If I tried to count the sins I committed in a day I might run out of numbers to count with, not as a flex but rather a display of the reality of human falleness.
3. Solution
Now that the problem of sin is established and the criteria for heaven is also established, this reveals the underlying root issue of the problem, not that God is so angry at you for not worshipping Jesus, but because he loves and pursues you despite you sinning against Him. God knows this and STILL sent his only begotten son for the sins you and the whole world has committed and will commit until the return of Christ, so that He completes the critera for eternal life on OUR behalf.
4. Rejoice
Deserving of praise, honor and glory because now what God has essentially and practically done is hold up both Love and Justice to the highest extent without contradicting one another, but rather in magnificent harmony, still unleashing wrath for the crimes committed(justice withheld), and giving man additional opportunity beyond our own perfection to enter the kingdom of heaven to dwell with Him forever(love), enjoying that it was not His strictness which led us to Jesus but His wise council recognizing that there is simply no other in which we can find truth or life in. Give your life to Jesus my beloved. Believe and be saved, I never loved love more than when I saw the love of Christ. It is my prayer that the reader responds in the Lord’s pursuit for them, for a pursuit in the Lord with love.
